Management Team
Avista was created by professionals in the San Francisco area who are passionate about AV gear. We recognized the need for a friendly and reliable audio video rental company serving the individual and corporate user.
Carolyn Alexander
Carolyn brings a wealth of AV management, sales, and rental experience to Avista. Prior to Avista, Carolyn owned one of the largest wedding and corporate video production companies in the bay area. She began renting AV equipment to complement the services offered to her consumer and corporate customers, and the business expanded rapidly. In early 2005, she partnered with Doug Watson to focus on the rental business.
Carolyn has an undergraduate engineering degree from Michigan State and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Albert Prauda
Albert recently joined Avista with over 15 years of corporate video production, lighting and audio engineering experience. His hands-on equipment experience in the field is invaluable to our equipment selection, instructions, and customer support.
Doug Watson
Doug is a strategic adviser and investor in Avista. In addition to providing Avista with a private investment, his significant experience in corporate strategy, investment banking and capital raising has proven invaluable as Avista experiences rapid growth. Doug is also an avid AV enthusiast and is enjoying having more AV gear to play with.
Doug has an undergraduate economics degree from the University of California, Irvine and an MBA from the University of Southern California
