(San Francisco, CA) We used Avista for our wedding sound system. The word that best describes our experience is: frictionless. When you are planning a large DIY event, you don't have the overhead or mental capacity to juggle everything you need to do. Avista made everything simple and was without question the easiest vendor we worked with.

I called just to request a quote and ask questions about their products. In just a few minutes they had answered my questions, recommended a different (cheaper) package and because they were so helpful I booked my reservation on the spot. Pickup was easy with useful instructions for operating the equipment. The equipment worked great all weekend and was simple to use. Drop-off was a cinch as well: they were expecting me, knew exactly what equipment I was returning and just checked it off as we unloaded. Everything about the process was completely painless.

(San Francisco, CA) I hosted a super bowl party at a SF restaurant a couple weeks ago, but two days before found out that the restaurant only had these small 42" TVs mounted in the ceilings - so great food, great drinks, killer party, but crappy game watching. Luckily, they said they work with this company, Avista, that could get rent u a bigger display and a sound system, since we were going to have a party before and after the game. Well, Avista was awesome and saved the day! 
We rented 2 80" displays, 2 QSC speakers and a mixer, and everything was up and running by the time we got there. We were running late, but the Avista technician hung out until we got there, so he could show us how to run everything. The game didn't exactly turn out like I expected, but the restaurant and Avista aren't to blame, they did a wonderful job! Highly recommend.

(Daly City, CA) I have used Avista several times to rent audio visual gear at a couple of different hotels in San Jose.  I have nothing against using the AV gear from whatever hotel I'm in, but I have many of them to have a "meh" attitude towards supporting my events, and the prices can be really excessive.  Also, the AV technicians I get are always different ones, which again is to be expected.  So all in all, not a terrible experience, just not a great one and I never feel like I'm getting value for my money.

With Avista, I feel like they genuinely appreciate my business, have prices that seem reasonable, and best of all, I'm always dealing with the same sales people like Stefanie and Clayton, and often get the same great techs.  Those guys come in knowing my expectations, which always helps.  What's really great is that no matter where I do my meeting (some are in our offices and we've done some outside as well), Avista can do that as well.

(Buena Park, CA) As an audio professional, I've used Avista several times for sound rentals in both Los Angeles and in Orange County. Their equipment is top notch and well maintained, unlike a few competitors I've used. Most recently I used them for a backyard movie rental, just for me and some friends. Just like with the pro gear I've rented from them, the whole process was smooth, the equipment was great, and the pickup/return process smooth. When I picked up the gear, I really appreciated the time that Justin spent with me, explaining the entire setup process. I didn't need to use it, but they said they have 24/7 phone support in case I had any questions setting things up. It's just like me to test companies on this type of thing, but given how everything else went in the process, I don't doubt that someone would have been there at 4am if I called and had a question. 5 stars all the way around!
