CASE STUDY - OUTDOOR STUDENT EVENT AT USC

Avista has deep experience providing big outdoor sound system rentals and live event audio production throughout California. Last month we were contacted by USC who needed help putting on a new event called "INSPIRE: Arts & Music and Beauty”. This two-day festival is a celebration of individuality, self-love, courage, creativity, and passion. Various celebrity guests were going to speak of about their own journey and their inspirations. Amongst the speakers were reknown singer-songwriter Halsey, actor Sophia Bush, and actors Sophia Bush and actor/model Emily Ratajkowski. In addition, various musical performers were on tap to provide entertainment into the evening.

Avista coordinated closely with the USC Special Events Committee, Performing Arts Committee, and the Student Assembly for Gender Empowerment. After understanding the event and it's unique demands and objectives, Avista lead audio technician, Adam Lopez, spec’d out a perfect sound system. This audio setup would need to cover the large outdoor gathering on the USC quad, and be suitable for both the interview format in the earlier part of the evening, and the performance part of the evening. Utilizing our DAS line array augmented by powerful midrange speakers, we delivered the perfect sound system rental for this client.
